About Us

Our Focus

Interlake Drone Services is an aerial imagery business serving the Interlake in Manitoba. Our focus is to give our clients quality service at a competitive price for the aerial video and photo product they want. We specialize in aerial real estate videos, home owner mementos, promotional videos, aerial mapping and environmental monitoring. Our product outputs are ready to use. We hold a RPAS Operator Certificate enabling both a VLOS and BVLOS capability to provide aerial support to our clients. Interlake Drone Services is a RPAS training provider and Flight Reviewer.

Our Equipment

Our drones, radios, editing software and other equipment is professional grade and enable us to get the job done professionally and efficiently. Our Drones are equipped with high resolution video and still cameras, autonomous flight capability, collision avoidance and precision hovering to provide excellent aerial coverage as well as safety.

Our Pilot

Drone flying in Canada is a highly regulated activity that requires specific aviation knowledge and skills. Our Chief Pilot is an aviation professional who is a retired Air Force pilot, that holds an advanced RPAS drone pilot certificate and Level 1 Complex Pilot Certificate from Transport Canada. He is also Flight Reviewer qualified. He also is an avid photographer that brings a creative perspective to his aerial video and still photographic work. If needed to meet the demands of a particular project, we hire only experienced Advanced RPAS drone pilots and Visual observers.

We can do the same for clients wanting a treasured keepsake of their home and property, for recording construction progress, promotional work, aerial mapping and environmental monitoring all in web-ready material. Emergency Services and Planners can get real time imagery of developing situations.

Seasons Greetings!

It's been a very busy and interesting year doing all sorts of drone work - from checking for ice jams, to mapping racetracks, photographing shorelines, monitoring parking lots and a house build, to real estate work and even checking a vent stack for ice.

IDS secured a RPAS Operatior Certificate, and it's Chief Pilot obtained his Level 1 Complex Operations Pilot Certificate.

This September 2025 we celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Interlake Drone Services! Winnipeg Beach Boardwalk Days Parade

Interlake Drone Services participated in the Boardwalk Days Parade on the 27 July 2024. With tunes blaring, IDS caught the attendion of many with the drone hovering overhead the car. Lots of fun!
